Vasaloppet USA is a nonprofit run with local volunteers. The Mora Classic Series also includes the Snake River Canoe Race, Mora Half Marathon, and Mora Bike Tour.

The first Vasaloppet USA ski race was held in 1973, inspired by the original Vasaloppet in Mora, Sweden.
